MISSION CRITICAL

This is your quick reference page for 'The Compromise' on December 7th, 2024.

Here you'll find the links and information sent to you in our emails. Save this link on your phone so that you can access it quickly if you need it.

Where Do I Start?

You must be in Downtown Toronto within our 'Start Area' 30 minutes before the start time on your ticket. The start area is any location within the area bounded by Queen Street, York Street, The Gardiner Expressway, and Strachan Avenue. There are countless cafes and restaurants to hide out in while you wait for your text message instructions. Check out the map for a visual reference.

What Should I Wear?

The best way to dress is the way you dress every day. You'll blend in perfectly if you already look like a regular human being! However, we have two recommendations.

Firstly, dress for the weather. Our event takes you inside and outside. Ensure you've got the right clothing to keep you warm, dry, and safe. Sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing are key. Check out the Toronto Weather a few days before the event to get an idea of what you should prepare for.

Secondly, there is a lot of value in being able to change your appearance quickly. If you want to go above and beyond, prepare for a quick change. Wired Magazine has a great interview by Jonna Mendez who was the Chief of Disguise at the CIA. You might be able to get some ideas by watching the video here. You won't need anything elaborate, but think about how you can change your clothing on the go.

Where is the Waiver?

We won't lie. There are some risks to what you're about to do. If you're not paying attention, it's possible for you to get hurt. We'll need you to fill out a waiver for our event. Doing so in advance will help you dive right into our experience with minimal delay. You can complete our waiver here.

How do I Prep my Phone?

Your phone is a key piece of your experience. Not only is it how you'll receive your initial instructions, but it's also how you're going to stay connected to all the missions going on around you.

We use Zello - A Push-To-Talk over Cellular app. You'll need to download it in advance (for iOS or Android), but don't worry about signing up. We'll take care of that for you. You'll also want a set of wired or Bluetooth earbuds. Zello does use your phone's data plan, but at a very minor rate.
